Job Overview:
The Programme Officer position at UN Women involves a multifaceted role focused on capacity development activities aimed at promoting gender equality and women's empowerment in the Asia-Pacific region. The UN Volunteer (UNV) will work under the supervision of the Gender Training Specialist and will be responsible for designing, operationalizing, and implementing various training sessions and policy workshops. The role requires a proactive approach to engage with stakeholders, develop training materials, and assess the effectiveness of capacity development initiatives. The UNV will also support communications activities, including creating content for UN Women’s website and social media, and will be involved in organizing regional and international meetings. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Programme Officer will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
- Participating in technical meetings to prepare for capacity development activities, including formulating concept notes, agendas, and logistical arrangements.
- Conducting needs assessments for pre-learning workshops and drafting evaluation reports.
- Deploying feedback tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training and capacity development activities.
- Developing supporting materials for training and program activities.
- Providing technical and logistical support for the organization of activities.
- Attending relevant meetings with stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of program activities.
- Supporting the development of communication materials, including news releases and activity videos.
- Offering logistical support for the execution of activities.
- Participating in staff meetings as required. 1
- Assisting in the translation of documents between English and Korean. 1
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the Gender Training Specialist to ensure the successful delivery of the Annual Work Plan. 1
- Organizing various regional and international meetings for the Centre.
Required Qualifications:
