Job Overview:
The Sr. Product Manager, Fundraising will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the American Heart Association's fundraising products, particularly focusing on the American School Engagement program, which includes initiatives like Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge. This position requires a strategic leader who will define the product vision and strategy for digital platform capabilities associated with these programs. The individual will be responsible for developing, prioritizing, and maintaining a product roadmap that spans 12 to 36 months, collaborating with various teams to innovate and launch digital experiences that align with the organization's goals. The role encompasses the entire product development lifecycle, from identifying customer needs to ensuring successful product launches and user adoption, while also driving enhancements and leading a shift towards a product lifecycle management approach.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership for Product Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with fundraising objectives. Set goals and motivate teams across business, technology, and vendor sectors. Conduct market research and customer feedback analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Drive innovation by exploring new product ideas and enhancements.
  • Product Planning and Roadmapping: Work with cross-functional teams to create and prioritize product roadmaps. Ensure designs incorporate customer feedback and testing. Define product requirements and manage user stories and feature backlogs.
  • Product Development and Launch: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance. Coordinate with various teams for successful launches, including change management and training.
  • Performance Tracking and Analytics: Define KPIs to measure product success and monitor performance post-launch. Analyze data and user feedback to iterate on product features.
  • Customer Focus and Relationship Building: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs through direct interactions and feedback analysis. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to validate product direction.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster transparent communication across departments and collaborate with executive leadership to present product plans and updates.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in product management is required, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential, along with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. A data-driven mindset with experience in analytics is necessary, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools such as Jira, Product Board, and Figma. A thorough understanding of current digital engagement trends is also required.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is mandatory, while a Master's degree or MBA is preferred. Candidates with industry knowledge and experience in nonprofits will have an advantage. Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools, particularly Salesforce and Marketing Cloud, is also beneficial.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of progressive experience in product management, demonstrating a successful history of launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle. Candidates should have experience in strategic thinking and decision-making, as well as a strong understanding of customer needs and market trends.

Languages:
