Job Overview:
As the Sr. Product Manager, Fundraising, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the American Heart Association's fundraising products, particularly focusing on the American School Engagement program, which includes initiatives like Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge. This position requires a strategic leader who will define the product vision and strategy for digital platform capabilities associated with these programs. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a product roadmap that spans 12 to 36 months, collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and market needs. Your expertise will cover the entire product development lifecycle, from identifying customer needs to ensuring successful product launches and user adoption. You will also lead efforts to enhance the product lifecycle management approach within the organization, providing strategic direction to the fundraising team for day-to-day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership for Product Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with fundraising objectives. Set goals and motivate teams across business, technology, and vendor sectors. Conduct market research and customer feedback analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Drive innovation by exploring new product ideas and enhancements.
- Product Planning and Roadmapping: Work with cross-functional teams to create and prioritize product roadmaps, ensuring designs incorporate customer feedback. Define product requirements and manage feature backlogs. Make data-driven decisions to prioritize features based on market trends and user needs.
- Product Development and Launch: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance. Coordinate with various teams to ensure successful product launches, including change management and training. Manage funding processes and budget across the product lifecycle.
- Performance Tracking and Analytics: Define KPIs to measure product success and monitor performance post-launch. Analyze data and user feedback to iterate on product features. Evaluate the impact of new feature launches on business outcomes.
- Customer Focus and Relationship Building: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs through direct interactions and market insights. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to validate product direction.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster transparent communication across departments, ensuring a shared understanding of product strategies. Collaborate with executive leadership to present product plans and updates. Develop visual communications to enhance clarity and collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and customers.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to inform product decisions.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools such as Jira, Product Board, and Figma.
- A thorough understanding of current digital engagement trends and the ability to integrate these into the product vision.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Engineering is required. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred and considered a plus, particularly for candidates looking to advance in product management roles within the organization.
Experience:
