Job Overview: The Sr. Product Manager, Fundraising will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the American Heart Association's fundraising products, particularly focusing on the American School Engagement program, which includes initiatives like Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge. This position requires a strategic leader who will define the product vision and strategy for associated digital platform capabilities. The individual will be responsible for developing, prioritizing, and maintaining a product roadmap that spans 12 to 36 months, collaborating with delivery teams, stakeholders, and leadership. The role involves guiding key strategic decisions and investment prioritization while working with cross-functional teams to innovate, develop, and launch digital experiences that align with the organization's goals and market needs. The Sr. Product Manager will oversee the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring successful launches and user adoption, and will lead an organizational shift towards a product lifecycle management approach. This position is integral to providing strategic direction to the Fundraising team, which handles day-to-day implementation and operational support activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership for Product Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with the fundraising program objectives. Set goals, define success metrics, and motivate teams across business, technology, and vendor domains. Conduct market research and customer feedback analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Drive innovation by exploring new product ideas and enhancements.
Product Planning and Roadmapping: Work with cross-functional teams to create and prioritize product roadmaps. Ensure designs incorporate customer feedback and testing. Define and manage product requirements, user stories, and feature backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Product Development and Launch: Coordinate with teams to monitor the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery. Collaborate with internal technology and vendors for quality assurance and timely releases. Manage change processes and training for successful product launches.
Performance Tracking and Analytics: Define KPIs to measure product success and monitor performance post-launch. Analyze data and user feedback to iterate on product features and optimize user experience.
Customer Focus and Relationship Building: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs through direct interactions and feedback analysis. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to validate product direction.
