Job Overview:
The Sr. Product Manager, Fundraising will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the American Heart Association's fundraising products, particularly focusing on the American School Engagement program, which includes initiatives like Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge. This position requires a strategic leader who will define the product vision and strategy for digital platform capabilities associated with these programs. The individual will be responsible for developing, prioritizing, and maintaining a comprehensive product roadmap that spans 12 to 36 months, collaborating closely with delivery teams, stakeholders, and leadership. The role demands a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to innovate and launch digital experiences that align with the organization's goals. The Sr. Product Manager will also lead the organizational shift towards a product lifecycle management approach, ensuring successful product launches and ongoing enhancements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership for Product Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with fundraising program objectives. Set goals, define success metrics, and motivate cross-functional teams. Conduct market research and customer feedback analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Drive innovation by exploring new product ideas and enhancements.
  • Product Planning and Roadmapping: Work with cross-functional teams to create and prioritize product roadmaps, ensuring designs incorporate customer feedback. Define and manage product requirements and user stories, making data-driven decisions to prioritize features.
  • Product Development and Launch: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, coordinating with technology and fundraising teams to ensure timely delivery. Manage successful product launches, including change management and training.
  • Performance Tracking and Analytics: Define KPIs to measure product success, regularly analyze data and user feedback to optimize user experience.
  • Customer Focus and Relationship Building: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs through direct interactions and feedback analysis. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to validate product direction.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster transparent communication across departments, ensuring a shared understanding of product strategies and updates. Present product plans and recommendations to executive leadership.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to drive product decisions.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools such as Jira, Product Board, and Figma.
  • A thorough understanding of current digital engagement trends and the ability to strategically integrate these into the product vision.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Engineering is required. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of progressive experience in product management, demonstrating a successful track record of launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle. Experience in the nonprofit sector is advantageous but not required.

Languages:

Additional Notes:
This is a full-time position with flexible work arrangements available. The expected pay range for this role is between $110,000 and $120,000, commensurate with experience. Employees are entitled to a minimum of 16 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year, increasing with seniority, and 12 paid holidays annually.
