Job Overview:
The Senior Product Manager, Fundraising plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the American Heart Association's fundraising products, particularly focusing on the American School Engagement program, which includes initiatives like Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge. This position is designed for a strategic leader who will define the product vision and strategy for the associated digital platform capabilities. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for developing, prioritizing, and maintaining a product roadmap that spans 12 to 36 months, collaborating closely with delivery teams, stakeholders, and leadership. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to innovate and launch digital experiences that align with the organization's goals. The Senior Product Manager will also lead the organizational shift towards a product lifecycle management approach, ensuring successful product launches and user adoption while driving ongoing enhancements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Product Manager, Fundraising include:
- Strategic Leadership for Product Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with fundraising program objectives. Set goals and define success metrics while motivating cross-functional teams. Conduct market research and customer feedback analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Drive innovation by exploring new product ideas and enhancements.
- Product Planning and Roadmapping: Work with cross-functional teams to create and prioritize product roadmaps, ensuring designs incorporate customer feedback. Define and manage product requirements and user stories, making data-driven decisions to prioritize features based on market trends and business value.
- Product Development and Launch: Coordinate with fundraising and technology teams to oversee the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery. Collaborate with internal technology and vendors for quality assurance and successful product launches.
- Performance Tracking and Analytics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and monitor performance post-launch. Analyze data and user feedback to iterate on product features and optimize user experience.
- Customer Focus and Relationship Building: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs through direct interactions and feedback analysis. Cultivate relationships with key volunteers and stakeholders to validate product direction.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster transparent communication across departments, ensuring a shared understanding of product strategies and goals. Present product plans and status updates to the executive leadership team.
Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Senior Product Manager, Fundraising position include:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
