Job Overview:
As the Sr. Product Manager, Fundraising, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the American Heart Association's fundraising products, particularly focusing on the American School Engagement program, which includes initiatives like Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge. This position requires a strategic leader who will define the product vision and strategy for associated digital platforms. You will be responsible for developing, prioritizing, and maintaining a product roadmap that spans 12 to 36 months, collaborating with delivery teams, stakeholders, and leadership to guide key strategic decisions. Your expertise will encompass the entire product development lifecycle, from identifying customer needs to ensuring successful launches and user adoption. You will also lead an organizational shift towards a product lifecycle management approach, providing strategic direction to the Fundraising team responsible for day-to-day implementation and operational support activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership for Product Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with the fundraising program objectives. Set goals, define success metrics, and motivate cross-functional teams. Conduct market research and customer feedback analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Drive innovation by exploring new product ideas and enhancements.
  • Product Planning and Roadmapping: Work with cross-functional teams to create and prioritize product roadmaps, ensuring designs incorporate customer feedback. Define and manage product requirements, user stories, and feature backlogs. Make data-driven decisions to prioritize features based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Product Development and Launch: Coordinate with teams to monitor the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery. Collaborate with technology and vendors for successful product development and quality assurance. Manage funding processes and budget across the product lifecycle.
  • Performance Tracking and Analytics: Define KPIs to measure product success and monitor performance post-launch. Analyze data and user feedback to iterate on product features. Evaluate the impact of new feature launches on business outcomes.
  • Customer Focus and Relationship Building: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs through direct interactions and feedback analysis. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to validate product direction.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster transparent communication across departments and collaborate with executive leadership to present product plans and updates. Develop visual communications to enhance clarity and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to inform product decisions.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools such as Jira, Product Board, and Figma.
  • A thorough understanding of current digital engagement trends and the ability to integrate these into the product vision.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Engineering is required. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred and considered a plus, particularly for candidates looking to advance in their careers within the organization.

Experience:
Candidates should possess at least 5 years of progressive experience in product management, demonstrating a successful history of launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle. Additional Notes:
This is a full-time position with flexible work arrangements available. The expected pay range for this role is between $110,000 and $120,000, commensurate with experience.
