Job Overview:
The Senior Product Manager, Fundraising, plays a crucial role in shaping the future of AHA's fundraising products, particularly focusing on the American School Engagement program, which includes initiatives like Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge. This position requires a strategic leader who will define the product vision and strategy for digital platform capabilities associated with these programs. The role involves developing and maintaining a product roadmap that spans 12 to 36 months, collaborating with various teams to innovate and launch digital experiences that align with AHA's goals and market needs. The Senior Product Manager will oversee the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring successful launches and user adoption while driving ongoing enhancements. This position also provides strategic direction to the Fundraising team, which is responsible for daily implementation and operational support activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership for Product Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with fundraising program objectives. Set goals and motivate teams across business, technology, and vendor sectors. Conduct market research and customer feedback analysis to identify trends and user needs. Drive innovation by exploring new product ideas and enhancements.
  • Product Planning and Roadmapping: Work with cross-functional teams to create and prioritize product roadmaps. Ensure designs incorporate customer feedback and testing. Define product requirements and manage user stories and feature backlogs. Make data-driven decisions to prioritize features based on market trends and business value.
  • Product Development and Launch: Coordinate with teams to monitor the product development lifecycle from concept to launch. Ensure successful product development and quality assurance. Manage change and training for successful launches. Partner with stakeholders on funding processes and budget management.
  • Performance Tracking and Analytics: Define KPIs to measure product success and monitor performance post-launch. Analyze data and user feedback to iterate on product features. Evaluate the impact of new feature launches on business outcomes.
  • Customer Focus and Relationship Building: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs through direct interactions and market insights. Manage customer journeys in a Salesforce Marketing system. Build strong relationships with key volunteers and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to inform product decisions.
