Responsibilities
The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Health ProgramsAnalyst in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas (remote/home based is acceptable) .
In this role, you will be responsible for providing dedicated support for program evaluation activities performed by the AHA’s Center for Health Metrics and Evaluation. Additional responsibilities include assisting with development and implementation of program evaluation activities for AHA programs and initiatives aimed at the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and promotion of ideal cardiovascular health.
This is a grant funded, full time, benefits eligible opportunity. Current funding is through 6/30/2022 with the possibility of extension.*Due to the current pandemic, All staff are currently working from home.*Essential Job Duties:
Supports development and implementation of program evaluation data collection activities in Data Science for programs across the portfolio of AHA programs and initiatives.
Develops and/or refines standard study measures, develops and implements surveys (paper and online), works with data analyst for data collection, analysis, and dashboards.
Writes sections of analytical reports and final reports.
Works as a collaborative member of the data science team.
Assists in the production of manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications and presentations; provides input for presentations at scientific conferences and meetings.

Advanced Degree - Public Health (MPH), Marketing Research, Business Statistics or related field of study.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience:
Creating data collection instruments for both quantitative (surveys/questionnaires) and qualitative (interview/focus group guides) approaches.
Conducting quantitative and qualitative data analyses.

Ability to creatively consider alternative solutions to tasks.
Intellectual curiosity.
Comprehensive knowledge of program evaluation methods.
Proficient knowledge of databases or data repository systems.
