Due to the current pandemic, daily travel is minimal and voluntary to ensure the health and safety of staff. There is no overnight travel currently. In the future, this position may resume daily and/or overnight travel. All AHA offices are closed and staff are currently working from home. In the future, this position will resume to being based in the local office. Responsibilities The American Heart association has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Digital Content Producer, Creative based out of our National Center office! This position can be remote/home based but must live near a major airport. This individual is responsible for leading and working with teams across the AHA to orchestrate the production of creative content including original programming, documentary treatments, video assets, audio assets and live production properties. Executes, and provides leadership to, the team responsible for stewarding existing strategic concepts and developing the framework to move both existing and new strategies from concept through launch and day to day property operations. Also responsible for adjustments to content and platform based on how consumers digest content and pivoting based on metrics to meet the objectives. Additionally, identifies and develops content strategies that are designed to drive revenue.
  • Development of new digital live production, audio and video creative concepts/strategies, and also stewarding existing strategic concepts, and developing the framework that moves them from concept through launch Leadership of cross-functional production team for live and pre-recorded original programming broadcast content properties including providing feedback, development and direction to supporting staff Communicating up, down and across to compile and report out on the progress of digital properties. Scaling and adjusting projects appropriately to stay within budget
  • Client project leadership including interviews, storyline and content development for video, audio, podcasting and live production to include oversight of editing final product. This includes working in close collaboration with the news, content and marketing teams to concept new video or podcast content. Additionally, providing direction and support to field level staff to deliver on production needs
  • Produce and facilitate audio and video shoots, preparation including storyboarding, planning, and facilitating on-location production including logistics and crew management. Accountable for managing resource bandwidth, production schedules, talent/speaker preparation for high level volunteers, celebrities, and leadership, as well as management/oversight of support staff, freelancers & contractors. Moreover, this role will manage assigned budget and will make adjustments to production accordingly to stay within the allocated budget.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Eight (8) – Twelve (12) years of relevant experience
  • Experience as a lead producer
  • Post-production editing on podcasts and audio assets
  • Ability to interact and direct senior leaders with a high-degree of professionalism
  • Ability to interact with and provide direction to influencers, celebrities and thought leaders
  • Ability to travel up to 50% local and overnight stay
Preferred Experience:
  • Digital content and marketing experience
