Job Description
The USAID-CCBO project in Indonesia, implemented by Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest for a Women in Waste Economic Empowerment Activity Coordinator. This position will be located in the main office in Semarang.
The CCBO activity is a five-year initiative of USAID which will serve as USAID's flagship program to target ocean plastics directly at their source in cities and towns. The project works to prevent ocean plastic pollution by building capacity and commitment for Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling (3Rs) and solid waste management (SWM) in urban and peri-urban settings, particularly in riverine and coastal areas. CCBO works with multiple USAID missions on country-specific implementation of national and local activities, and with USAID/Washington on global-level activities.
CCBO’s WWEE Activity Coordinator, based in Semarang, will assist the WWEE Activity Manager (based in Manila, Philippines) by providing field level information for planning, overseeing field activities with the grantees, and liaising for public and private sector partners in Indonesia. The Activity Coordinator will help ensure that WWEE recruits a sufficient number of participants and potential funding recipients. The Activity Coordinator will manage day-to-day WWEE activities in Indonesia. In addition, the Activity Manager will work closely with the WWEE Deputy Activity Manager/CCBO Gender Advisor and with CCBO administrative specialists who supports the WWEE Activity part-time.
Qualifications:
*University degree in business or development finance or at least 4 years working experience in business development sector
*Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
*At least 5 years of experience in management positions
*At least 1 year of experience in training; business and/or gender training preferred
*Experience in managing or providing support to women's economic empowerment activities preferred. Experience with solid waste management and/or recycling sectors a plus.
*Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
*Demonstrated familiarity with USAID policies and procedures preferred
