Due to the current pandemic, daily travel is minimal and voluntary to ensure the health and safety of staff. There is no overnight travel currently. In the future, this position may resume daily and/or overnight travel. All AHA offices are closed and staff are currently working from home. In the future, this position will resume to being based in the local office. Responsibilities We have an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Development Director in the Tulsa office. The selected candidate will have fundraising responsibilities for the Heart of Tulsa campaign and will bring together corporate and medical partners, as well as community leaders and volunteers, to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke, the number #1 and #5 killers in America. This year’s goal is $800,000 net. If you have a strong fundraising and/or sales background, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
  • Generate revenue through donor engagement and cultivation via the Heart of Tulsa campaign to fund the organization’s mission
  • Prospect new business, manage existing sponsors, and expand current partnerships
  • Develop and cultivaterelationships with volunteers, sponsors, and key corporate and community leaders
  • Expand the organization’s reach into the philanthropic community of individuals to help raise funds, expand outreach, and increase awareness
  • Network within the local area to retain valued volunteers and recruit new donors
  • Manage the overall Heart of Tulsa campaign and logistics for all related cultivation activities and mission-driven initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Must have at least 2+ years of experience in fundraising or outside sales or serving a non-profit organization in a similar capacity. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position’ s educational
  • Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management, proven track record in meeting sales/fundraising goals.
  • Organization, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Candidates must be results driven with the ability to multitask and must also be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory up to 75.
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs. from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
