Job Overview:
The Digital Training & Adoption Consultant position is designed for a proactive individual who is user-centered and collaborative. The consultant will play a crucial role in providing personalized coaching to staff, helping them effectively utilize digital tools in their daily tasks. This role involves supporting the coordination of training programs and developing educational materials that facilitate the learning process. The consultant will work closely with colleagues to translate theoretical learning into practical application, thereby enhancing the overall digital competency within the organization. The position is situated within the Technology and Transformation Department, specifically in the Digital Transformation group, which is tasked with guiding the IDB Group towards becoming an AI-enabled and digitally transformed entity. The consultant will be instrumental in fostering a culture of curiosity and peer learning, ensuring that staff are equipped to leverage digital tools such as Copilot, Power BI, and Power Apps in their work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging training sessions that empower staff to effectively apply digital tools in their daily work. This includes coordinating and managing the logistics of training programs, such as scheduling, communications, and participant support. The consultant will provide personalized guidance through regular office hours and one-on-one support, assisting staff in using digital tools to address real work challenges. Additionally, the consultant will deliver informal learning sessions, showcases, and demonstrations that highlight practical use cases, new features, and innovative solutions. The creation and maintenance of practical learning resources, job aids, guides, videos, and other materials that are easy to update and aligned with evolving business needs will also be part of the role. The consultant will proactively engage with teams and country offices to understand their needs, identify opportunities for improvement through technology, and promote a culture of continuous learning and experimentation. Monitoring trends in user questions and support requests, identifying common challenges and capability gaps, and providing recommendations to enhance training and adoption efforts will be essential tasks. Staying current on emerging technologies, product updates, and best practices to continuously improve the learning experience is also a key responsibility.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Education, or other relevant fields. Additionally, candidates should have at least 2 years of progressive experience in roles that involve direct user support, digital adoption, learning and development, or technology coaching. Prior experience in a multilateral, international, or culturally diverse organization is strongly preferred. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in AI and generative AI technologies, along with a solid understanding of their potential applications and ethical considerations for responsible use.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent advanced degree in fields such as Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Education, or other areas that are relevant to the responsibilities of the role. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of digital tools and their applications in a professional setting.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in roles that involve direct user support, digital adoption, learning and development, or technology coaching. This experience should ideally be within a multilateral, international, or culturally diverse organization, which will provide the candidate with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of working in such environments.

Languages:
Proficiency in both Spanish and English, spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Additionally, knowledge of French and Portuguese is considered a valuable asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively within the diverse linguistic landscape of the IDB Group.

Additional Notes:
The position is classified as an international consultant role, requiring full-time commitment for a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 48 months, subject to eligibility. Candidates must be citizens of one of the 48 member countries of the IDB Group.
