Job Overview:
The Online Video Editor / Content Creator position is a volunteer role that plays a crucial part in supporting Rousto Charity's mission. The primary function of this role is to transform raw video recordings from online classes into polished, engaging promotional videos. These videos are essential for showcasing the club's activities and encouraging participation from youth and women in the community. The role requires creativity and technical skills in video editing to produce content that resonates with the target audience and effectively communicates the organization's objectives. The volunteer will be responsible for editing long-form class recordings into shorter, more engaging formats suitable for various social media platforms, thereby enhancing the visibility and impact of the charity's educational programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Video Editing: Edit long-form recorded online classes into short, engaging highlight reels and promotional clips for social media.
• Content Enhancement: Add dynamic subtitles, text overlays, transitions, background music, and graphics to enhance video engagement.
• Thumbnails & Formatting: Create eye-catching thumbnails and optimize video formats for different platforms.
• Collaborate with the team to understand the key messages and objectives of the videos.
• Ensure all content aligns with the organization's branding and mission.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving video content and outreach strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their video content requirements.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and understand project goals.

Educational Background:
A background in media production, communications, film, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant coursework or certifications in video editing and content creation will be considered an asset.

Experience:
Previous experience in video editing or content creation is highly desirable. Familiarity with creating promotional content for social media platforms will be beneficial. Experience working in a volunteer capacity or with non-profit organizations is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in Tajik and/or Russian is mandatory. Proficiency in English is a plus, as it may help in understanding broader content and communication needs.

This is a volunteer position, and the duration of the contract is flexible based on the availability of the volunteer. The role is part-time and can be performed remotely, allowing for a flexible schedule.
