Job Overview:
The Chauffeur Mécanicien position at WFP involves maintaining and repairing vehicles, generators, and other transport equipment to ensure their optimal functioning. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education and possess a technical training program in automotive maintenance or relevant mechanical/technical training. A valid driver's license or certificate allowing the operation of utility or light vehicles in compliance with local regulations is required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair, as well as the ability to follow technical manuals and instructions. Additionally, candidates must have a proven track record of working in a similar role, showcasing their ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position includes the completion of secondary education, supplemented by a technical training program focused on automotive maintenance or relevant mechanical/technical fields. This educational background is essential to ensure that candidates possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the duties associated with vehicle maintenance and repair effectively.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of utility vehicles, light vehicles, and other transport means, as well as generators and other equipment. Additionally, at least three years of experience as a driver, preferably within an embassy, UN agency, or other international organization, is required. Experience in driving various makes and models of vehicles, including vans and other motorized vehicles, is essential, along with a good driving record and knowledge of preventive driving techniques.
Languages:
A Level B proficiency in French is mandatory, along with a good understanding of English. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication capabilities within the diverse WFP environment.
Additional Notes:
This position is offered as a service contract at the SC3 level, with an initial duration of 12 months, subject to renewal based on performance and organizational needs.
