Job Overview: The Senior Private Sector Partnerships Individual Giving Associate plays a pivotal role in enhancing UNHCR's fundraising efforts through individual giving. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize the donor base, focusing on acquiring new donors and retaining existing ones. The associate will lead a team dedicated to individual giving, ensuring effective communication and engagement with donors. The role involves utilizing various fundraising channels, including direct mail, digital platforms, and telemarketing, to secure both monthly and one-time donations. The associate will also oversee the development of annual plans for donor acquisition and retention, ensuring alignment with UNHCR's broader fundraising goals. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering donor loyalty and engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior PSP Individual Giving Associate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: developing annual plans for donor acquisition and retention, managing donor communications, and ensuring best practices in donor care. The associate will supervise the implementation of various fundraising campaigns, including face-to-face, digital, and direct mail initiatives. They will also draft submissions for funding to support individual giving programs and contribute to the overall strategic planning for fundraising efforts. The associate will manage relationships with marketing agencies, oversee donor database management, and ensure accurate data entry and analysis. Additionally, they will lead the development of cross-channel fundraising campaigns and monitor the performance of these initiatives to optimize results. The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance fundraising strategies and achieve financial targets.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or two years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or higher. Essential qualifications include experience in private sector fundraising, client/donor communication, and marketing. Proven experience in donor retention and development programs, as well as coordination and supervision of fundraising campaigns, is crucial. Familiarity with fundraising databases and software is also required. Desirable qualifications include experience in the non-profit sector, project management, and data analysis.
Educational Background: The position requires a background in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Candidates must hold relevant certifications or licenses in these areas. Educational qualifications must be obtained from accredited institutions recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least four years of relevant experience in fundraising, marketing, or a related field. Experience in managing fundraising campaigns and working with donor databases is essential. Candidates with a background in digital marketing and project management will be preferred, particularly those who have led initiatives in coordination with multiple teams.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, with a proficiency level of B2 or higher. Knowledge of the UN working language of the duty station is also required. Familiarity with local languages is advantageous but not mandatory.
