Job Overview:
The Family Connector role is pivotal in strengthening the early years system in the Armadale West community. This position involves working closely with local families, schools, services, and community partners to enhance access to early years opportunities and improve outcomes for children aged 0-
  • The Family Connector is expected to engage with families in their environments, listen to their experiences, and utilize their insights to identify effective practices and gaps in the local system. This role is not traditional case management; instead, it focuses on building relationships and connecting families with relevant services and programs that support children's development, wellbeing, and readiness for school. The Family Connector will primarily work across three local schools and the Armadale Community and Family Centre, ensuring that families feel safe and comfortable while receiving support.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Family Connector will be responsible for building trusting relationships with local families, particularly those facing barriers to accessing services. Key duties include engaging families through outreach and community activities, listening to their needs and priorities, connecting them with early years services, and supporting them in navigating local service systems. The role also involves collaborating with local schools, early years services, community organizations, and government agencies to strengthen connections and referrals. The Family Connector will participate in the Early Years Partnership Local Working Group, contributing to the Community Plan and identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement in local services.
