Job Overview:
The role of the Communications and Data Management Corporate Volunteer at VSO Kenya involves supporting the organization in various communication, data management, and knowledge-sharing activities. Additionally, the volunteer will maintain accurate project data, trackers, and evidence repositories, while also supporting basic analysis, reporting, and data visualization. Duties and Responsibilities:
The volunteer will undertake a variety of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Developing and producing communication materials such as stories, briefs, and social media content that highlight program achievements and learning.
  • Maintaining and updating project data, trackers, and evidence repositories to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Supporting the analysis and reporting of project data to inform decision-making and improve program effectiveness.
  • Assisting in the visualization of data to present findings in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure that communication strategies align with VSO's mission and goals.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback that can enhance communication efforts.
  • Participating in training and capacity-building activities to improve skills in communication and data management.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this volunteer position should possess strong skills in writing, editing, and data management. Proficiency in using content and social media tools, as well as digital storytelling techniques, is essential. The candidate should also have experience with communication calendars, trackers, dashboards, and knowledge management systems. Attention to detail is crucial, along with a solid understanding of data protection, consent, and safeguarding principles. Educational Background:
