Job Overview:
The Financial Capabilities Coordinator position is a vital role within the IRC's Economic Empowerment program, specifically designed to assist refugees and immigrants in Tucson. Under the guidance of the Senior Program Manager, the Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing career pathways services that empower clients to achieve financial stability. This role involves working closely with clients to create individualized plans that align with their career goals, while also ensuring that the IRC meets its program targets related to enrollment and economic empowerment outcomes. The Coordinator will provide one-on-one career counseling and facilitate workshops on essential financial topics such as budgeting, credit building, and banking products. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Capabilities Coordinator will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting clients in identifying and resolving financial challenges, administering intake assessments, and co-developing Individualized Career Development Plans (ICDP) tailored to each participant's needs. The Coordinator will coordinate wraparound support services, ensuring that clients receive necessary assistance such as interpretation, transportation, and childcare stipends. Additionally, the role involves connecting participants with local training programs, apprenticeships, and employer partners to facilitate job upgrades and career-related employment. The Coordinator will conduct follow-up assessments with clients and employers to evaluate job retention and financial stability, document changes in employment status and financial health, and capture success stories. The position also requires the development of workshop materials and the implementation of quality assurance measures to maintain compliance with agency policies. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with team members and community partners to enhance service delivery and participate in program meetings and staff development activities.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Financial Capabilities Coordinator position should possess at least 2 years of relevant professional experience in financial capabilities and/or career development. Experience in a non-profit environment and familiarity with financial coaching services are advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, multicultural environment.
