Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will perform a variety of tasks as outlined in the Terms of Reference (TOR) provided by the hiring office. These tasks may include conducting research, assisting in project implementation, participating in meetings, and contributing to reports and presentations. Interns are expected to collaborate with team members and contribute to the overall objectives of the organization. Specific responsibilities will depend on the intern's area of study and the needs of the FAO office they are assigned to. Interns will also be encouraged to share their perspectives and ideas, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited educational institution. FAO only considers qualifications from institutions recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED). Candidates should specialize in a field relevant to FAO's mission, such as agriculture, nutrition, environmental science, or international development. Additionally, candidates must have a working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish), with knowledge of a second FAO language being an asset. Candidates should also be nationals of FAO member countries and be between the ages of 21 and 30.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this internship includes enrollment in or recent graduation from a recognized undergraduate or graduate degree program.
