Job Overview:
The Consultation Design Consultant will play a pivotal role in the Access 101 Project, which aims to enhance the understanding of access to health products within the MSF Movement. This position involves leading the design and execution of a consultation process to identify the learning needs, knowledge gaps, interests, and preferences of MSF staff regarding access to health products. The consultant will utilize both qualitative and quantitative research methods to gather insights that will inform the development of a comprehensive syllabus for the Access 101 course on MSF's e-learning platform, Tembo. The consultant's work will ensure that the learning resources created are relevant, engaging, and accessible to a diverse audience across various roles and locations within MSF. The project is funded by the MSF Access Fund, which was established to enhance MSF's capacity to address access-related challenges and opportunities.

Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a degree in a relevant field such as Education, Social Sciences, Public Health, or Organizational Development. This educational background is essential to ensure that the consultant has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively design and implement the consultation process and develop the course syllabus.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in learning design, curriculum development, organizational learning, or stakeholder consultation. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative research processes, as well as experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders across various regions and cultural contexts. This level of experience is crucial for understanding the complexities of access-related learning needs and for developing effective educational resources.
Languages:
Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, knowledge of other languages such as French, Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese is considered an asset, as it may enhance communication with a broader range of stakeholders within the MSF Movement and facilitate the consultation process.
Additional Notes:
This consultancy position is home-based and requires the candidate to have the legal right to work as a consultant in their country of residence. The duration of the consultancy is approximately 20-25 working days, scheduled between October 2026 and January 202

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a consultation methodology and work-plan to identify learning needs, knowledge gaps, interests, and preferences related to access to health products across MSF.
- Design and implement a mixed-methods consultation process, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative approaches as appropriate.
- Prepare consultation tools and materials, including interview guides, survey questionnaires, and data collection frameworks.
- Conduct interviews, focus groups, and other consultation activities with a diverse range of stakeholders across regions, operational entities, and functions within MSF.
- Ensure the consultation process reflects diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, capturing perspectives from various regions, roles, and levels within the organization.
- Analyze consultation findings to identify key learning needs, knowledge gaps, barriers, motivations, and audience preferences relevant to access-related learning.
- Produce a report summarizing findings and providing practical recommendations to inform the design of Access 101 learning products and activities.
- Present findings and recommendations to the Access 101 project team and relevant stakeholders.
- Translate consultation findings into recommendations for the syllabus for the Access 101 Tembo course, including learning objectives, thematic areas, audience segmentation, and priority content modules. 1
- Advise on suitable learning formats and approaches, balancing e-learning, downloadable resources, and regional workshops.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Health, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in learning design, curriculum development, organizational learning, or stakeholder consultation.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative consultation or research processes.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Experience engaging diverse stakeholders across regions, functions, and cultural contexts.
- Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of French, Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese is an asset.
- Experience in humanitarian, global health, international development, or non-profit environments is an asset.
