Job Overview:
The Digital Communication/AI and Social Media Support Volunteer will play a crucial role in enhancing CHAI's digital presence and communication strategies. This position involves collaborating with the CHAI team to develop engaging social media content that effectively communicates the organization's programs and their impact. The volunteer will be responsible for designing professional graphics, flyers, and other digital materials, as well as supporting the creation and editing of short videos. A key aspect of this role is the responsible use of AI-assisted video tools to improve the quality and efficiency of communications. The volunteer will also provide recommendations on digital communication strategies and emerging AI tools that can strengthen the organization's work, thereby contributing to the overall mission of improving health and well-being in the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging social media content for various programs and campaigns to increase visibility and awareness.
• Design professional graphics, flyers, and other digital materials that align with CHAI's branding and messaging.
• Support the creation and editing of short videos, utilizing AI-assisted video tools responsibly to enhance content quality.
• Collaborate with the CHAI team to strategize and implement effective digital communication initiatives.
• Research and recommend emerging AI tools and digital communication strategies that can improve the organization's outreach and program effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of digital content and campaigns, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the organization's website and social media platforms to ensure current and relevant information is available.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of digital communication and social media platforms.
• Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in digital communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A passion for health, nutrition, and community development, particularly in relation to women and children's issues.

Educational Background:
A background in communications, marketing, graphic design, public health, or a related field is preferred. Relevant coursework or certifications in digital media, social media management, or graphic design will be advantageous.

Experience:
Previous experience in digital communication, social media management, or graphic design is highly desirable. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in community health initiatives will be a plus. The role is suitable for individuals looking to gain practical experience in digital communication and advocacy within the non-profit sector.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in local languages spoken in Nigeria would be an advantage, as it can enhance communication with diverse community members.

Additional Notes:
This is a volunteer position, and the duration of the contract is flexible based on the availability of the volunteer. The role is remote, allowing for flexibility in working hours. CHAI is open to recruiting volunteers from both national and international backgrounds. While this position is unpaid, it offers valuable experience and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful community health initiatives.
