Job Overview:
The Data Analyst position is integral to the IRC Poland's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) / Programmes function. The role is focused on enhancing the organization's data systems and transforming them into actionable reports. The Data Analyst will be responsible for setting up and maintaining data integrations using OpenFn, ensuring a seamless connection between CommCare and Excel, and developing comprehensive Excel-based reports that consolidate data from CommCare and KoboToolbox. This position is particularly significant as IRC Poland is among the first offices to implement OpenFn, requiring the Data Analyst to learn the platform thoroughly and establish a robust setup for future use. The role is vital for supporting evidence-based decision-making and ensuring accountability across the country programme, which has been active in Poland since February 2022, responding to the humanitarian needs arising from the war in Ukraine.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in data analysis, computer science, statistics, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience. Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential, including the ability to build reports and dashboards that integrate data from external sources. Practical experience with CommCare or similar digital data-collection platforms is required, along with familiarity with KoboToolbox. Experience with OpenFn or comparable data-integration tools is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail and the ability to present data clearly to diverse audiences are critical for success in this role.
Educational Background:
A university degree in data analysis, computer science, statistics, or a related field is required. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered in lieu of formal education. Candidates should demonstrate advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with data management tools.
Experience:
The position requires practical experience with data analysis and management, particularly with tools like CommCare and Excel. - Excel Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools in Excel that combine data from CommCare and KoboToolbox. Prepare regular reports on client reach, services delivered, and progress against targets. Organize reports for effective use by partners and internal teams, translating complex data into clear findings for non-technical stakeholders.
