Job Overview:
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in Jordan is seeking proposals from a consultant to create animated awareness videos focusing on Jordanian law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Labour Law and the rights and protections of workers. The primary goal of these videos is to provide accessible and comprehensible information to workers, particularly refugees and vulnerable populations, about their rights and obligations under the law. This initiative is part of DRC's broader Economic Recovery programming, which aims to empower vulnerable groups, especially women and youth, by enhancing their access to decent work opportunities and improving working conditions. The consultant will be responsible for developing the video content, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, animation production, and final editing, ensuring that the materials are suitable for the target audience and comply with DRC's branding guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will undertake several key responsibilities throughout the consultancy period. Initially, they will review proposed topics related to Jordanian Labour Law and confirm the selected topic in consultation with DRC and the Ministry of Labour. Following this, the consultant will develop a comprehensive video concept and script tailored to the agreed topic and target audience. A storyboard will be created for review and approval by DRC and the Ministry of Labour. The consultant will then produce the animated video, ensuring it includes Arabic voice-over and English subtitles for accessibility. Feedback from DRC and the Ministry of Labour will be incorporated into the final product, which must be delivered in the required format along with all editable/source files. The entire process is structured into three phases, each with specific deliverables and timelines, culminating in the submission of the final animated video.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Film Production, Visual Communication, or a related field. Additionally, they should have a minimum of four years of proven experience in animation and video production, with demonstrated expertise in developing animated videos that encompass script development, storyboarding, animation, voice-over, subtitling, and editing. Previous experience in creating awareness or educational videos, particularly in the context of labour rights or legal awareness, is highly desirable. Familiarity with working alongside NGOs, UN agencies, or government institutions will be an advantage. The consultant must also have the authorization to work in Jordan.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Film Production, Visual Communication, or a closely related field. This educational foundation is essential for ensuring that the consultant possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively create high-quality animated content that meets the project's objectives.

Experience:
The consultant is expected to have at least four years of proven experience in animation and video production. This experience should include a strong portfolio of previously developed animated videos, showcasing the consultant's ability to handle all aspects of video production, from script development to final editing. Experience in working with educational or awareness content, particularly related to labour rights or legal issues, is highly beneficial and will enhance the consultant's ability to deliver relevant and impactful materials.

Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written Arabic is mandatory for this position, as the primary content will be developed in Arabic. Additionally, an excellent command of English is required, particularly for creating English subtitles that accompany the animated videos. This bilingual proficiency is crucial for ensuring that the content is accessible to a wider audience, including non-Arabic speakers who may benefit from the information provided in the videos.

• Payment for the consultancy will be structured in three phases: 30% upon completion of Phase 1 (Content Review & Script Development), 30% upon completion of Phase 2 (Storyboard & Animation Development), and 40% upon final approval of the completed video in Phase
• The consultant will be responsible for providing their own computer and mobile telephone, as well as any other necessary equipment for the assignment.
