Job Overview: The Associate Banker role is integral to the Corporate team in Türkiye, focusing primarily on the origination and execution of investment projects within the Manufacturing and Services sectors. This position involves contributing to all phases of the project cycle, which includes project origination, structuring, execution, and implementation. The Associate Banker will be responsible for various tasks assigned by the operation leader or senior bankers, which may encompass conducting comprehensive due diligence, ensuring compliance with EBRD policies, and facilitating effective post-signing implementation. The role is designed to allow the Associate Banker to progressively take on more complex tasks and expand their responsibilities as they gain experience and expertise in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the operation leader or a more senior banker, the Associate Banker will work as part of a project team on transactions, contributing to all aspects of project structuring and execution. This includes conducting comprehensive research and analysis of background materials, market information, and financial performance data. The Associate Banker will analyze and evaluate potential risks associated with proposed projects, which involves scrutinizing financial statements and preparing and updating financial models and projections. Additionally, the Associate Banker will assist in designing and processing technical cooperation assistance, including preparing terms of reference and internal approval documentation to support investment projects or related policy dialogue initiatives. The role also requires effective communication with other internal units of the Bank, clients, and stakeholders, which may involve drafting correspondence, creating presentations, and following up on internal communications. It is essential that all tasks assigned to the Associate Banker are completed within specified time frames, maintaining high quality and adherence to the Bank's policies, procedures, and objectives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in relevant areas. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are desirable. Strong quantitative and numerical skills are critical, along with the ability to interpret financial information and design and utilize financial models. Candidates should have credit analysis skills, with a solid understanding of local and international accounting principles and practices related to credit analysis. Proficiency in computer literacy is required, particularly with Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications that include financial analysis and modeling capabilities.
