Job Overview:
The Private Sector Partnerships Adviser (Business Operations) will play a crucial role in strengthening NRC's private sector function by ensuring that the necessary systems, structures, data, and processes are in place to build and manage effective partnerships. This position is designed for an individual who thrives at the intersection of partnerships, operations, data, and impact. The adviser will be responsible for providing operational support to the Private Sector Partnerships function, ensuring compliance, governance, and oversight across the partnership portfolio. The role involves turning data into actionable insights, which will help the organization understand performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions. The adviser will also support the Director of Private Sector Partnerships in implementing fundraising strategies and developing guidelines and tools for private sector partnerships across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Private Sector Partnerships Adviser include:

• Providing data and analysis related to private sector income, projects, and partners to the section, directors, Global Finance, and leadership.
• Supporting the Director of Private Sector Partnerships in implementing fundraising strategies.
• Developing, reviewing, and ensuring the implementation of guidelines, tools, systems, and procedures for NRC's private sector partnerships across the organization.
• Conducting training and providing support to ensure compliance with private sector partnerships.
• Upholding ethical guidelines for entering private sector partnerships and managing the due diligence process.
• Managing special projects for the private sector function.
• Representing the Private Sector Partnerships section in the development and implementation of the Cycles CRM system, ensuring it meets the business needs of the section.
• Developing and maintaining reports in Cycles on behalf of the section.
• Presenting visuals of income data to internal stakeholders and providing relevant data for external surveys. 1
• Ensuring that private sector work and communications comply with rules and regulations, including GDPR.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Private Sector Partnerships Adviser position should possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 4 years of highly professional experience in business development, private sector marketing/sales, social impact, or other relevant fields.
• Previous experience in strategic relationship building, private partnerships, and networking.
• Experience in implementing private fundraising and market strategies.
• Documented ability to manage multiple tasks, project schedules, and documents simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build bridges between the private sector, philanthropic market, and humanitarian sector.
• Experience working with stakeholders across public, private, and non-profit sectors.
• An interest in humanitarian and displacement issues is an advantage.
• Documented experience in project planning and management.
• Ability to work independently and proactively. 1
• Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly MS Excel, as well as data analysis and visualization tools. 1
• Demonstrated experience working with CRM systems is preferred. 1

• Business proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with fluency in Norwegian being an advantage.

Languages:
The mandatory language requirement for this position is business proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Fluency in Norwegian is considered an advantage, as it may facilitate communication with local stakeholders and partners. Knowledge of additional languages may also be beneficial, depending on the specific context of the partnerships being managed.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Oslo, Norway, and is offered as a maternity cover contract lasting between 12 to 15 months. The role may require travel of up to 10%.
