Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including: conducting research and summarizing scientific and policy evidence on circular economy and trade; compiling and analyzing quantitative data using programming languages such as Python or R; supporting the analysis of materials and chemicals in traded products; preparing concise briefing notes and presentations for non-specialist audiences; assisting in the preparation of events and training related to the Circular Economy Programme; following UNCTAD processes and preparing meeting notes; compiling evidence for technical cooperation proposals; and performing other related duties as required. Interns are also expected to adhere to UN regulations and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must meet specific qualifications to apply for the internship. They should be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program or the final academic year of a bachelor's degree. A degree in natural sciences, engineering, environmental science, chemistry, materials science, or a related field is required.
