Job Overview:
As a Domestic and Family Violence Specialist, you will leverage your expertise to support families impacted by violence, enhance the capabilities of others, and collaborate with communities to foster safer and more positive futures. Your role will involve providing specialist case support, mentoring, and establishing strong community partnerships to bolster safety, wellbeing, and resilience for women, children, and families. - Developing strong networks and referral pathways to support desired outcomes for families.
- Collecting and recording information for accountability, evaluation, and reporting purposes.
- Engaging with culturally diverse families and communities, ensuring that your approach is respectful and inclusive.
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- Experience working with women and children under 5 years who have experienced domestic and family violence.
- Knowledge of best practices, professional standards, and relevant research in the field of domestic and family violence.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and transferring skills and knowledge to others.
- Demonstrated skills and understanding of working with culturally diverse families and communities, along with an understanding of cultural practice approaches.
- Completion of MARAM training.
- A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or a relevant Human Service Qualification, or significant experience in a similar service.
