The Multilingual Output Production Assistant position is part of the IAEA's Talent Pipeline initiative aimed at enhancing the roster of professionals available for freelance employment. The assistant will work under the guidance of the Coordinator, primarily focusing on proofreading and formatting content in various languages including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Multilingual Output Production Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including: proofreading content in multiple languages to ensure adherence to established quality control guidelines; checking spelling, punctuation, grammar, syntax, and completeness of documents; archiving and disseminating finalized content according to established processes; supporting the compilation and processing of official records from IAEA meetings; formatting content, including tables and figures, to ensure accurate presentation; aligning translated texts and preparing files for translation software; and providing backup support as needed. The assistant may also be required to carry out additional duties as assigned by the Coordinator.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education. Experience in proofreading and layout tasks is considered an asset. A perfect command of either Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish is required, with advanced knowledge of English being necessary if it is not the candidate's mother tongue or principal language of education. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is essential, and familiarity with IT translation tools, particularly Trados Studio, is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in their work.
Educational Background:
