Job Overview:
The District Lead position is crucial for the implementation of the project 'Expanding TPT in the Private Sector at the Patient’s Doorstep.' The role involves overseeing the establishment and operation of TPT Centres in high-load private hospitals and clinics across four districts in India. The District Lead will manage day-to-day operations, supervise field officers, and coordinate with third-party agencies to ensure effective service delivery. This position requires a strong field presence, with approximately 60% of the time spent traveling locally. The District Lead will be responsible for building relationships with district and facility stakeholders, ensuring that every household contact in intervention facilities is documented and supported through the TPT cascade.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The District Lead will be responsible for the operational management of TPT Centres, including the identification and onboarding of facilities, driving implementation strategies, and supervising field officers. They will coordinate with third-party service delivery agencies, manage drug supply logistics, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. The role also involves stakeholder management, including regular meetings with the District TB Officer and DTC staff, conducting CME sessions, and monitoring data quality. The District Lead will supervise field teams, provide training, and represent WJCF in external engagements, ensuring accountability and operational effectiveness at the district level.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a graduate or post-graduate degree in Public Health, Social Work, Health Management, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public health program implementation or field operations is required, with a preference for candidates with prior experience in TB, HIV, or private sector health engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office and a willingness to travel extensively within the district. Familiarity with NTEP workflows and Nikshay data entry is preferred.
Educational Background:
A graduate or post-graduate degree in relevant fields such as Public Health (MPH), Social Work (MSW), or Health Management (MBA – Healthcare) is required. Candidates with a science background and strong field program experience will also be considered.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in public health program implementation or field operations. Experience in TB, HIV, or private sector health engagement is preferred, along with demonstrated experience in supervising field staff and managing health program activities.
Languages:
Fluency in the relevant district language is mandatory, along with working proficiency in English. This ensures effective communication with local stakeholders and team members.
