Job Overview:
The Online Volunteer position is part of the MARG (Mainstreaming Alliance for Green and Resilient Buildings) initiative, a collaborative effort between UNEP and IFC aimed at advancing green building practices and strengthening the ecosystem for sustainable construction. The primary focus of Working Group 1 (WG1) is on capacity building, training, and skills development. The volunteer will play a crucial role in mapping existing capacity-building resources, partner capabilities, and effective practices related to green buildings. This mapping exercise is essential for understanding the current landscape of resources available in India and internationally, which will inform future capacity-building interventions. The volunteer will work closely with the WG1 focal point to develop a structured framework for capturing and analyzing data on partner contributions, training programs, and methodologies relevant to green buildings. The outcome of this assignment will be a comprehensive resource map that identifies existing assets, gaps, and opportunities for enhancing capacity-building efforts in the green building sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteer will be responsible for several key tasks, including:

• Developing a mapping framework and data template in consultation with the WG1 focal point to capture partner capabilities and capacity-building resources.
• Mapping the contributions of participating partners and relevant institutions to WG1, including technical expertise, training, tools, and networks.
• Identifying existing toolkits, training programs, methodologies, and assessment tools relevant to green buildings and capacity development.
• Cataloging effective capacity-building examples from India and internationally, prioritizing those with evidence of successful implementation and measurable outcomes.
• Mapping training modules and curricula according to target constituencies, themes, and delivery formats.
• Assessing the geographic reach and target constituencies of partners and resources, including public-sector, professional, and community stakeholders.
• Identifying underserved constituencies and areas where capacity-building resources are limited.
• Analyzing the relevance of identified resources to WG1 activities and potential for adaptation or scaling.
• Consolidating findings into a structured mapping matrix and providing a concise analytical summary of key assets, gaps, and opportunities for WG1.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Online Volunteer position should possess strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable formats. Familiarity with capacity-building frameworks, training methodologies, and green building practices is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate proficiency in data management and mapping techniques, as well as experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration. Educational Background:

Experience:

Languages:
