Required Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate experience with detector readout systems in high-energy physics. Experience in FPGA firmware development is considered an asset. Hands-on experience with silicon detector modules and the necessary laboratory equipment is required, along with experience in quality control testing of silicon detectors and data analysis. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with software development tools such as GitLab are essential. Knowledge of databases used in detector production or similar environments is also advantageous.
Educational Background: The position requires a professional background in Applied Physics, Experimental Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Candidates should possess either a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience. It is important that applicants have not previously held a CERN fellow or graduate contract.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have a solid level of experience in the relevant fields, particularly in high-energy physics and detector readout systems. A background that includes practical experience in quality control testing and data analysis is essential.
