Job Overview:
As a Senior/Principal/Lead Investment Officer at ADB, you will play a crucial role in providing senior-level technical expertise and operational management for private sector operations. Your responsibilities will include leading complex analyses, conducting due diligence, and managing relationships with various stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including:
  • Originate, evaluate, and develop private sector opportunities to enhance business and portfolio growth.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial, credit, market, operational, and risk analyses to identify material risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Lead due diligence processes, transaction structuring, and negotiations, ensuring compliance with ADB policies and sound risk management practices.
  • Manage relationships with clients, financial institutions, and development partners, coordinating effectively with various ADB teams.
  • Contribute to strategy development, market intelligence, and portfolio management, while also overseeing junior team members and consultants.
  • For Infrastructure Finance, stay updated on infrastructure projects, assess bankability, and develop financial models.
  • For Trade and Supply Chain Finance, lead portfolio management and transaction execution, ensuring compliance and monitoring of existing and prospective counterparties.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in finance, business administration, accounting, economics, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct complex financial analyses are essential. Excellent client orientation, stakeholder management, and communication skills are required, along with proven leadership experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant financial systems is necessary. Specific qualifications vary by position level, with higher levels requiring more extensive experience and advanced degrees.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree or equivalent. For higher-level positions, a Master's degree is mandatory, while a Bachelor's degree may suffice if accompanied by significant relevant experience.

Experience:
Candidates should have substantial experience in their respective fields, with at least 8 years for Infrastructure Finance roles and 10 years for Trade and Supply Chain Finance roles. Supervisory experience is crucial, with a minimum of 4 years for lower levels and 6 years for higher levels. Experience in project finance, banking, or related private sector operations is highly valued, particularly in an international context.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, with effective communication skills in Turkish being essential for certain positions. Additional language skills may be advantageous but are not required.
