Job Overview: The position of Promotora de Patrocinio involves coordinating administrative processes and procedures within the Program Unit or the programs department at the Central Offices. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with corporate norms, legal requirements, budget adherence, strategic objectives, and project indicators. The Promotora de Patrocinio will manage both programmable and non-programmable sponsorship communications, ensuring that the production calendar for the SCUs (Child Sponsorship Updates) is met in collaboration with community links and volunteers. The role also includes training volunteers and community leaders on sponsorship policies, safeguarding standards, and gender issues, as well as conducting community assemblies to promote accountability and family engagement in Plan's projects. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure high-quality sponsorship documentation is produced on time, which is essential for sponsor retention. Additionally, the Promotora will report and follow up on cases of sponsored children who are not attending school or facing health issues, supporting family visits and coordinating annual visits for all sponsored children.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage sponsorship communications, ensuring compliance with production schedules for SCUs in collaboration with community volunteers.
Train volunteers and community leaders on sponsorship policies, child safeguarding standards, and gender issues.
Conduct community assemblies to promote accountability and encourage family participation in Plan's projects.
Ensure the timely and quality production of sponsorship documents to meet Plan's commitments.
Report and follow up on cases of sponsored children who are not attending school or have health issues, documenting these in Plan's systems.
Support family visits by sponsors and donors, coordinating visits for all sponsored children at least once a year.
Collaborate with the lead facilitator on visits to children and families who wish to discontinue participation in sponsorship.
Assist with programmatic actions as needed, including scholarship projects and special services.
Report any child protection concerns or incidents to the designated protection focal point.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in community organization and development, particularly in sponsorship processes.
Basic knowledge of planning, implementation, and evaluation of social development programs and projects.
Understanding of human rights, with a focus on children's rights.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, internet).
Mandatory ability to drive a 4x4 vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
Strong communication skills for generating quality reports and establishing empathy with gender equality, multiculturalism, and child safeguarding.
Educational Background: A minimum of 2 years of studies in Social Sciences, Sociology, Economics, Education, or another relevant field related to the position.
Experience: The position requires at least one year of experience in community organization and development, particularly in processes related to child sponsorship and engagement with children and youth.
Languages: Fluency in the local language is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset.
