Job Overview:
The position of Website Design and Development Support is integral to the UNFPA's initiative to enhance the Youth Compact website, which serves as a vital resource for young people affected by crises. The role involves a comprehensive digital restructuring of the website to ensure it functions as both an educational resource for the public and a secure collaborative hub for internal members. The Online Volunteers will be responsible for conducting a technical audit, restructuring the site map, and redesigning the layout of the Youth Compact website on SquareSpace. This initiative is part of the broader 'Youth Compact 2026' project aimed at transforming the humanitarian system and supporting youth-led humanitarian action. The volunteers will work closely with the Youth Compact Co-Chairs, ensuring that the website effectively communicates the mission and engages diverse global stakeholders, including non-native English speakers.

Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A degree in web design, computer science, graphic design, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered. Additional certifications in web development or UX design would be advantageous.
Experience:
Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of experience in web design and development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating previous work on similar projects. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in humanitarian contexts is a plus.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as the primary communication will be in English. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those spoken by youth in humanitarian contexts, is considered a valuable asset.

This is a remote position, allowing for flexibility in work hours.
