Duties and Responsibilities: The Head of Chambers’ Staff will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including: conducting periodic reviews of staffing levels and making recommendations to the Presidency regarding recruitment needs; overseeing the recruitment and allocation of legal and administrative staff; managing common processes and projects, such as the development of a research platform; establishing internal working groups to address issues relevant to all divisions; conducting training needs analyses and organizing training for staff; providing high-level legal advice to judges and chambers; ensuring the quality of legal support; and undertaking additional tasks as assigned by the Presidency. This role requires strong leadership and managerial skills to effectively coordinate the work of diverse teams and ensure that the Chambers operate efficiently and effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in law, with a specialization in international criminal law, international law, or criminal law. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience is acceptable. The role demands a minimum of ten years of relevant work experience in international criminal law or related fields, with demonstrated experience in judicial institutions at both national and international levels. Candidates should also have managerial and coordination experience in a judicial context, showcasing their ability to lead and manage complex organizational structures.

Additional Notes: The position is classified as an established post, with an initial contract duration of two years, subject to a six-month probationary period. The ICC offers a minimum net annual salary of €131,304.00. Candidates appointed to posts at a P-5 grade or in the Director category are subject to a maximum aggregate length of service of seven years, as per the Assembly of States Parties' decision.
