Job Overview:
The Employment Program Supervisor plays a critical role in leading and enhancing the Matching Grant (MG) and Refugee Social Services (RSS) employment programs. This position is tasked with ensuring that these programs meet all performance goals set by funders and contract requirements while being responsive to client needs and operating within budgetary and compliance parameters. The supervisor will also be responsible for the sustainability of the program area through development initiatives and grant writing. Direct supervision of service staff is a key responsibility, and the supervisor must be committed to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment alongside a team dedicated to providing high-quality, community-based programs. The role requires sound judgment and the ability to make decisions in a fluid environment, reporting directly to the Economic Empowerment Program Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Employment Program Supervisor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: leading and developing direct service staff through team meetings and individual supervision, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures, actively participating in the implementation and management of employment programs, tracking client enrollment and ensuring timely service delivery, maintaining communication with staff regarding challenging cases, cultivating relationships with local employers, developing job-readiness classes, overseeing client intake and assessment, monitoring client performance, organizing community partnerships, coordinating scheduling with volunteers, assisting in grant writing, ensuring program compliance with funder requirements, and producing high-quality program reports. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree, preferably in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field, or have equivalent work experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in securing employment opportunities for clients, particularly in refugee resettlement or workforce development, is required. Experience in supervising, supporting, and training staff is essential, along with a proven track record of promoting an organizational culture that aligns with IRC’s core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality. The ability to lead collaboratively in a multicultural environment and manage multiple priorities effectively is crucial.

Educational Background:
A university degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:
The position requires at least 3 years of relevant experience in securing employment opportunities for clients, particularly in the fields of refugee resettlement or workforce development. Experience in supervising and training staff is also necessary, along with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in a language spoken by client populations is considered a plus, enhancing the ability to connect with diverse clients.

• The compensation range for this role is between $75,369 and $78,866, which is determined by various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget considerations.
