Volunteers will be responsible for sharing 1-2 posts per week on their personal social media platforms, utilizing various formats such as images, videos, and text-based content. The posts will highlight evidence-based immunization messages provided by WHO or will be original content inspired by WHO's key messages. Volunteers will also participate in a mandatory virtual orientation session and attend two virtual learning sessions throughout the campaign, focusing on topics like immunization, vaccine confidence, and health communication. The role emphasizes the importance of respectful and constructive conversations on social media regarding immunization, while ensuring that accurate health information is promoted based on WHO guidelines.

The Online Volunteers will have several key responsibilities during the campaign. They will share 1-2 posts per week on their social media platforms, which may include images, videos, and text-based content that aligns with WHO's immunization messaging. Volunteers must participate in a mandatory virtual orientation session in early September to understand WHO's regional immunization priorities and campaign objectives. They will also attend two virtual learning sessions every three weeks, where WHO experts will discuss relevant topics. Volunteers are expected to encourage constructive conversations on social media about the importance of immunization and promote accurate health information. Additionally, they will track and record their engagement activities using monitoring forms provided by WHO and UNV, which will include links to public posts and audience reach. Volunteers will not provide independent medical advice and will be equipped with a communications toolkit to assist in developing and sharing their posts. There is an opportunity for volunteers to take on additional leadership responsibilities as Group Coordinators, which involves supporting their assigned group, ensuring engagement metrics are tracked, and compiling a report at the end of the campaign.
