Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Junior Test Measurement Engineer include: developing and maintaining applications for monitoring and control of vacuum instrumentation using LabVIEW and Python; contributing to software used with gas analysers, pressure gauges, and related vacuum equipment; improving tools for acquisition, logging, analysis, and visualization of various data; participating in the integration of new instruments and functionalities into the existing control infrastructure; supporting testing, validation, and deployment of software on operational systems; collaborating with engineers, technicians, and users to translate operational needs into robust software solutions; documenting developments, configurations, and procedures on the team's internal documentation platforms; and supporting installed applications while participating in their follow-up and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess initial experience programming in Python and a keen interest in the integration of scientific and industrial instrumentation, data acquisition, analysis, and control systems. Initial experience developing applications in LabVIEW is considered an advantage. The ideal candidate should have skills in LabVIEW, with knowledge of LabVIEW Real-Time and/or FPGA being a plus, as well as proficiency in Python and familiarity with Linux environments. A structured, rigorous, and autonomous working style is essential, along with an interest in multidisciplinary teamwork in an international environment. Proficiency in spoken and written English or French is required, with a commitment to learn the basics of the other language.

Educational Background:
Applicants must be nationals of a CERN Member or Associate Member State and should have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. The highest educational qualification required is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree. It is important to note that applicants without a university degree or those with a PhD are not eligible for this position.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation. This experience should be relevant to the fields of software, electrical, or electronics engineering, or related disciplines. Candidates should demonstrate initial experience in programming and application development, particularly in Python and LabVIEW.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English or French, with a requirement for candidates to be proficient in spoken and written communication. Additional Notes:
