Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Enthusiasm for public health and immunization advocacy, strong communication skills, and familiarity with social media platforms are essential. Volunteers should be comfortable creating engaging content and participating in discussions about health topics. A commitment to promoting accurate health information and WHO-approved messages is crucial. Additionally, volunteers should be able to work independently and collaboratively within a virtual team environment.
Educational Background:
While specific educational qualifications are not mandated, a background in public health, communications, social sciences, or related fields would be advantageous. Volunteers should possess a basic understanding of immunization and public health principles to effectively engage with the campaign's objectives.
Experience:
Previous experience in social media management, community engagement, or public health advocacy is beneficial but not required. Volunteers should demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to the campaign's needs, as well as the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communications and training materials will be provided in English. Knowledge of additional languages spoken in the Western Pacific Region would be considered an asset, enhancing the ability to reach broader audiences.

- This initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance of immunization and engage communities in informed discussions. Volunteers will be responsible for sharing 1-2 posts per week on their personal social media platforms, utilizing various formats such as images, videos, and text-based content. They will also participate in a mandatory virtual orientation session and attend bi-weekly learning sessions led by WHO experts. The overarching goal is to promote accurate health information and encourage constructive conversations about immunization within their networks, thereby contributing to WHO's regional immunization priorities through 2030.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Share 1-2 posts weekly on personal social media platforms, highlighting WHO's immunization messages or creating original content inspired by WHO guidelines.
- Participate in a mandatory virtual orientation session in early September to understand WHO's immunization priorities and campaign objectives.
- Attend two virtual learning sessions throughout the campaign, focusing on immunization, vaccine confidence, health communication, and misinformation.
- Foster respectful and constructive discussions on social media regarding immunization, adhering to WHO's posting guidance.
- Track and record engagement activities using monitoring forms provided by WHO and UNV, including links to public posts and audience reach.
- Optionally, serve as a Group Coordinator, supporting fellow volunteers by ensuring consistent posting, addressing questions, and accurately tracking engagement metrics. Group Coordinators may also compile and submit a report at the campaign's conclusion.
