Job Overview:
The Online Volunteers will play a vital role in supporting WHO WPRO's regional immunization messaging campaign from 14 September to 22 October 202

• This initiative aims to raise awareness about the significance of immunization and foster informed discussions within communities and online networks. Volunteers will be responsible for sharing evidence-based immunization messages through various formats on their personal social media platforms. They will participate in a mandatory orientation session and virtual learning sessions led by WHO experts, focusing on immunization, vaccine confidence, and health communication. The campaign aligns with WHO's regional immunization priorities through 2030, which include eliminating measles and rubella, reducing the number of zero-dose children, and promoting equitable access to vaccines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteers will be tasked with sharing 1-2 posts per week that highlight immunization messages provided by WHO or create original content inspired by these messages. They will engage in respectful conversations on social media regarding immunization, ensuring that accurate health information is promoted. Volunteers will track their engagement activities using monitoring forms provided by WHO and UNV, which will include links to public posts and audience reach. Additionally, there is an opportunity for volunteers to take on the role of Group Coordinator, which involves additional responsibilities such as supporting group members, troubleshooting questions, and compiling reports at the end of the campaign. It is important to note that volunteers will not provide medical advice or respond to individual medical inquiries.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of social media platforms and effective communication strategies. They should be enthusiastic about public health and immunization, with a commitment to promoting accurate health information. Volunteers must be able to engage constructively in discussions and encourage community participation. Familiarity with WHO's health messaging and priorities is advantageous, but not mandatory. A willingness to learn and adapt to the campaign's objectives is essential.

Educational Background:
While there are no strict educational requirements, a background in public health, communications, social sciences, or related fields is beneficial. Volunteers should have a basic understanding of immunization and public health principles, as well as experience in social media engagement and content creation.

Experience:
Previous experience in volunteer work, community engagement, or public health initiatives is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and a willingness to engage with diverse communities online. Experience in managing social media accounts or campaigns will be an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all communications and training materials will be provided in English. Knowledge of additional languages spoken in the Western Pacific Region is considered a plus, as it may enhance outreach efforts and community engagement.
