Job Overview:
The position of Online Volunteer for Proposal Writing Evaluation involves evaluating and selecting the best proposal writers from applications submitted to WOPA. The volunteer will work closely with the Program Officer to support the organization in selecting a quality proposal developer. This role is crucial as it requires crafting technically sound proposals that are tailored to meet the unique demands of donors or specific calls for proposals. The volunteer will be responsible for reviewing applications, selecting the most qualified proposal developers, and evaluating and strengthening the proposals developed by applicants before submission for funding or grants. Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A background in fields related to social sciences, development studies, gender studies, or a related area is preferred. Candidates with experience in proposal writing or evaluation, particularly in the context of non-profit organizations, will be given priority. A degree or certification in proposal writing or grant management is advantageous.
Experience:
Candidates should have prior experience in proposal writing or evaluation, preferably within the non-profit sector. Experience working with organizations focused on women's empowerment or community development is highly desirable. Familiarity with the challenges faced by women and girls in Liberia will be beneficial.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all proposals and communications will be conducted in English. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Liberia is a plus, as it may enhance communication with local stakeholders and proposal writers.
