Job Overview:
The position of WFP Coordinador de Monitoreo de Campo involves coordinating and executing monitoring activities within a specific coverage area, ensuring effective delivery of assistance measures. The role requires a certain level of interpretation of guidelines and standard practices, with the expectation to recommend actions to officials at various levels and assign tasks to support staff. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Unit Manager, contributing to the overall mission of WFP by ensuring that food and non-food items are distributed according to established standards and that the quality of operations meets WFP's criteria. This position is crucial for maintaining effective communication with partners and stakeholders, gathering feedback, and suggesting improvements to monitoring processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify planned movements and distribution of food or non-food items, resolving routine issues and escalating others as necessary to ensure compliance with WFP standards.
• Collect and compile data on assistance programs, collaborating with cooperating partners as needed, conducting analyses, and preparing reports to support program reviews and informed decision-making.
• Maintain contact with cooperating partners and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and observations to enhance program reviews and service improvements.
• Suggest improvements to field monitoring processes and procedures for efficient program implementation.
• Organize regular meetings with community leaders and cooperating partners regarding supply chains, distribution agreements, food rights, and other critical issues to maintain effective communication and efficient operations.
• Assign tasks to other staff and provide guidance and on-the-job training to support their professional development and performance.
• Deliver standard training to cooperating partners on operational practices and WFP monitoring tools and methods to assist them in independent self-monitoring and enhance WFP's visibility in coverage areas.
• Prepare reports related to field missions to document program implementation.
• Follow established emergency intervention processes and procedures related to food assistance in emergencies. 1

Required Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include a completed secondary education cycle. A post-secondary education certificate in a relevant functional area is desirable. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, and a commitment to WFP's values of integrity, collaboration, commitment, humanity, and inclusion. Experience in monitoring and evaluation processes, as well as familiarity with WFP's operational standards, is advantageous.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed secondary education, with a preference for those who have a post-secondary education certificate in a relevant field. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of humanitarian assistance and the operational standards of WFP.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of demonstrated work experience in similar activities. Candidates should have experience in data collection related to program impacts, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, and communicating findings to management, partners, and stakeholders. Familiarity with WFP's monitoring and evaluation systems and standards is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish (Level C) is mandatory, along with working knowledge of English for reading WFP materials and policies. Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's application.
