Job Overview:
The VSO Project MEL Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the coordination and consolidation of the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) plan across three counties in Kenya. This position focuses on ensuring the quality of data collected, documenting processes, generating evidence, and disseminating learnings effectively. The administrator will be involved in the final phase of the ACTIVE project, which aims to enhance the impact of VSO's initiatives through systematic evaluation and learning. The role requires a proactive approach to data management and reporting, ensuring that insights gained from the project are effectively communicated to stakeholders and used to inform future programming.

Required Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, development studies, statistics, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree or additional qualifications in Monitoring and Evaluation or project management would be an advantage.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning roles, preferably within the international development sector. Experience in managing MEL processes for projects funded by international donors is highly desirable.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both spoken and written. Knowledge of local languages spoken in the project areas would be an asset, enhancing communication with local stakeholders.

- Document processes and lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepare and disseminate reports on project performance, highlighting key findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance the capacity of project staff and partners in MEL practices.
- Collaborate with local partners and stakeholders to ensure effective data collection and reporting mechanisms are in place.
- Support the development of tools and resources that enhance the MEL process and promote best practices.
- Engage in regular communication with the VSO team to provide updates on MEL activities and outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning principles and practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience using statistical software or data management tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Experience working in a development context, preferably in the NGO sector, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders, fostering positive relationships.
