Duties and Responsibilities:
The Education Expert will be responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, including but not limited to: developing and preparing education and multi-sectoral early childhood development programs; managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the progress of these programs; providing technical guidance and management support throughout the programming processes; facilitating the administration and achievement of results on education and ECD programs; improving holistic development and learning outcomes; ensuring equitable and inclusive education for marginalized and disadvantaged children; contributing to the achievement of results according to plans and results-based management approaches; engaging in in-country donor relations and resource mobilization initiatives; and ensuring that all activities align with UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, performance standards, and accountability frameworks. The Expert will also be expected to adapt to the unique challenges of working in a small island developing state, requiring innovative and context-specific approaches to program implementation.

Candidates for the Education Expert position must possess a strong set of qualifications, including a deep understanding of education systems, early childhood development, and the specific challenges faced by children in fragile contexts.
