Job Overview:
The position of Online Volunteer for the Learning Passport involves supporting UNICEF's flagship digital learning platform, which aims to provide quality learning content to children, young people, teachers, and communities, especially in low-connectivity and offline contexts. The volunteer will play a crucial role in refining platform documentation by reviewing existing page designs, identifying shared UI components, and documenting user behaviors. This work is essential for ensuring that the platform meets the needs of various countries and incorporates user feedback effectively. The volunteer will help create a more stable and user-centered platform that enhances the implementation of educational resources across different regions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review existing page designs to identify shared UI components and behaviors across multiple pages.
• Extract these components into dedicated, standalone documentation.
• Navigate the Learning Passport platform as a new user to document behavioral differences compared to existing users.
• Draft acceptance criteria for each identified behavior to ensure clarity and usability.
• Collaborate with the Learning Passport team to ensure that documentation aligns with technical requirements and user needs.
• Provide feedback on the user experience and suggest improvements based on findings.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of user interface design principles and user experience best practices.
• Familiarity with digital learning platforms and educational technology.
• Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical documents.
• Ability to analyze user flows and identify areas for improvement.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Educational Background:
A background in design, user experience, education technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have experience in creating documentation for digital platforms or similar projects.

Experience:
Previous experience working with digital learning platforms or in a volunteer capacity with educational organizations is highly desirable. Familiarity with user interface design and user experience research will be beneficial for this role.

Languages:
