Job Overview:
The Integration Facilitator will play a crucial role in promoting the integration of beneficiaries of international protection and temporary protection into Greek society. This position is part of the project 'Helios+: Comprehensive actions for the integration of third-country nationals into the labour market' in the Region of North Aegean. The successful candidate will work closely with national and local authorities and experienced partners to support employability, provide Greek language courses, and facilitate independent living through various activities. The role requires a proactive approach to assist beneficiaries in navigating their integration journey, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources to thrive in their new environment. The Integration Facilitator will also be responsible for monitoring the progress of beneficiaries and conducting presentations to familiarize them with the European Way of Life, thereby enhancing their understanding and integration into the local community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Integration Facilitator will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including: providing information to eligible beneficiaries and enrolling them in the project; monitoring the progress of beneficiaries' integration through individual sessions; conducting presentations to familiarize beneficiaries with the European Way of Life; organizing psychosocial-support" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">psychosocial support sessions; providing information about social welfare rights, housing, access to healthcare, and education services; conducting referrals to other actors for cases needing specialized support; coordinating with other project units, actors, and relevant authorities to meet beneficiaries' needs; evaluating requests for exemption from Greek language course registration; ensuring accurate data entry and quality physical archiving of Means of Verification; coordinating with relevant stakeholders and regularly visiting designated Reception Facilities to present the project; assisting beneficiaries in their search for apartments and administrative pre-requirements; and performing any other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited academic institution, along with a minimum of three years of work experience. A Master's degree in the aforementioned fields will be considered an advantage. Additionally, candidates must have a professional license if they are social workers or psychologists. Experience in a multi-cultural environment is preferred, and candidates should demonstrate a strong combination of knowledge, education, training, experience, and skills necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution. Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. A Master's degree in the relevant fields is advantageous and may enhance a candidate's application.
Experience:
Candidates should have at least three years of previous work experience in relevant fields. For social workers and psychologists, a professional license is mandatory. Experience working in a multi-cultural environment is preferred, as it will provide valuable insights into the challenges faced by beneficiaries from diverse backgrounds.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Greek (oral and written) is required for this position. All IOM staff members are expected to be fluent in one of the organization's official languages, which include English, French, and Spanish. Proficiency in the required languages will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
Additional Notes:
The position may involve specific contract durations, seniority levels, and full-time or part-time commitments.
