Job Overview:
The MEAL Enumerator position is designed to support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Unit within the Danish Refugee Council. The primary responsibility of the Enumerator is to collect field data through various methods, including surveys, post-implementation monitoring, and assessments. This role requires daily travel to refugee camps and surrounding communities to gather data that informs DRC's programming and impact assessments. The Enumerator will work closely with the MEAL Team Leader and MEAL Officers to ensure that data collection is conducted according to established protocols and methodologies. The position is crucial for ensuring that DRC's interventions are evidence-based and responsive to the needs of the communities served. The Enumerator will also be expected to maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy throughout the data collection process, contributing to the overall effectiveness of DRC's programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Enumerator will be responsible for adhering to all DRC policies and guidelines while conducting data collection activities. Key duties include coordinating with the MEAL Team Leader or MEAL Officer(s) to collect data as per instructions, attending training sessions on data collection methodologies, and ensuring compliance with data collection protocols. The Enumerator will carry out data collection through field visits and phone interviews with beneficiaries, utilizing household surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), site observations, and key informant interviews as necessary. Daily data entry and submission of completed questionnaires, whether on paper or via digital platforms, is required. The Enumerator will also prepare daily reports detailing progress, challenges faced during data collection, and the status of ongoing activities. Additional tasks may be assigned by the MEAL Officer(s) or MEAL Team Leader related to data collection, entry, or cleaning.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 months of experience in data collection and community engagement. Familiarity with using smartphones or tablets for data collection is essential. The Enumerator should demonstrate keen attention to detail, particularly in written work, and exhibit cultural sensitivity while working in a cross-cultural environment. Educational Background:
The minimum educational qualification required for this position is a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC). This educational background ensures that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for effective data collection and engagement with community members.

The position requires candidates to have at least 6 months of relevant experience in data collection and community engagement. This experience is crucial for understanding the dynamics of working in humanitarian settings and effectively interacting with diverse populations.

Languages:
Proficiency in Bengali is required, with advanced skills preferred. Basic knowledge of English is necessary for communication purposes. Additionally, knowledge of the Chittagonian language is required, as it facilitates better engagement with local communities and beneficiaries.

Additional Notes:
This position is classified as a casual contract, with a start date as soon as possible. The duty station for this role is Cox's Bazar, where the Enumerator will be primarily based. The closing date for applications is set for 31 August 202
