Job Overview:
The Multi Competence Team Leader is responsible for managing a team in the designated area and providing technical support during the implementation of projects on the ground. This role involves overseeing and executing programs developed in the territory, applying strategies and guidelines defined at the Area Office level, ensuring the technical quality of implementation, and facilitating access for participating populations to timely assistance mechanisms and dignified conditions. The Team Leader also contributes contextual information and risk analysis to the Coordination, enhancing the understanding of the operational environment and the effectiveness of the programmatic response. This position requires a proactive approach to leadership, ensuring that the team is well-supported and that project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Multi Competence Team Leader has a wide range of responsibilities, including managing and providing technical support to project staff in the assigned area, ensuring close leadership and continuous accompaniment. The leader must apply the strategy, manuals, and guidelines of all competencies in the assigned office and implement the action plan for projects, including activities, budget, and documentation. Daily follow-up on the implementation of area activities is essential to guarantee the achievement of established objectives. The leader is also responsible for ensuring that project activities prioritize participants at higher risk of vulnerability, exploring and evaluating new and better forms of assistance. Additionally, the Team Leader is expected to promote and share ideas for improving technical assistance and program effectiveness, prepare periodic progress reports and other documents required by Coordination and Management, and ensure the development of project staff capacities and the transfer of key skills relevant to the territory. The role includes acting as a liaison with local authorities and key stakeholders, coordinating actions, promoting the proper use of resources, and facilitating joint planning of activities in the territory. Compliance with NRC policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines throughout all project phases is mandatory, as is supporting the implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming (PSI) activities included in the country office's Action Plan relevant to their unit/team.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a university degree in Social Sciences (Law, International Relations, Social Work, or related fields). An intermediate level of oral and written English is desirable, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management. Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish are essential, as well as strong interpersonal relationships. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience managing teams, preferably multidisciplinary ones, with documented previous results in similar responsible positions. Self-awareness of leadership skills and profile is also necessary for this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Social Sciences, which includes fields such as Law, International Relations, Social Work, or other related disciplines. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of the social issues faced by the populations served by NRC and for effectively managing the team and projects in the assigned area.

Experience:
The position requires 2-3 years of experience in managing teams, ideally in a multidisciplinary context. Candidates should have a proven track record of documented results in similar roles of responsibility, demonstrating their ability to lead effectively and achieve project objectives. Experience in humanitarian settings or with organizations focused on social issues is highly valued.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, with excellent oral and written communication skills. An intermediate level of English is desirable, which would enhance communication with international stakeholders and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the role. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the local context may also be beneficial.
