Job Overview:
The Senior Associate, Business Development role is integral to supporting CHAI's CEO in establishing a new business development and partnerships function. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Associate include:
  • Researching and mapping donor relationships, developing engagement strategies, and identifying potential funding opportunities.
  • Conducting thorough prospecting and research to qualify new funding sources, utilizing AI tools for efficiency.
  • Collaborating with various teams to create persuasive donor pitch decks, proposals, and investment cases that align with CHAI's priorities.
  • Compiling responses to RFPs and funding solicitations, ensuring high-quality submissions.
  • Preparing briefing notes and talking points for the CEO and senior leadership for donor meetings.
  • Coordinating CHAI's participation in key conferences and events to enhance visibility and relationship-building.
  • Designing and maintaining AI-based tools, including a custom donor CRM, to track relationships and manage donor data effectively.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the business development function, including maintaining donor portal logins and gathering input from various teams on their business development needs.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5-6 years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment, such as fundraising, strategy consulting, or business development. They should have experience in developing proposals and fundraising materials, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in building AI-powered tools and workflows, particularly in relation to donor management. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, is required, along with superb communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Educational Background:
